Young or old or anywhere in between, God deeply desires to be in a committed relationship with you.
Baptism marks us as a follower of Jesus. God notices the outward sign of our baptism as an inward grace stirring within our hearts and honors our commitment to being a disciple of Jesus. Baptism is a public commitment because following Jesus is a public commitment. By the power of God’s Holy Spirit in baptism we are called to live lives transformed by God’s grace, and when we fully live into that grace, it is noticeable!
Baptism is not only a blessing for the one baptized, but also for those witnessing this spirit-filled act. They commit as Christ-followers to pray for you, help you, guide you and support you on your faith journey. You are welcomed into the family of believers. It is clear to the one being baptized: you are not beginning as a disciple of Jesus Christ alone!
